Location: Coles Salon, Burnsville, MNFor quite some time, Hanna has been interested in getting her hair trimmed. She's dreamed, nervously, of having much, much shorter hair. So today, she finally got up the nerve to get it cut! This is a photo documentary of that effort. For the full-size shot of each picture, just click on the image.
In the beginning was the hair...and it was long...and it took forever to dry...and it could be rather annoying!
Enter "The Hair Stylist." Heather, who can be seen throughout these pictures, also has naturally curly hair, and thus understands the dilemma.Though naturally curly hair can be very beautiful, it can also be a really big pain in the #@%(*!@*#& (scalp - that's what you were thinking, right?). And so it begins...the effort to remove some of the mass from dear Hanna's head.
A rousing beginning for the crusade! Suddenly, with a few swell snips of the scissors, Hanna has chin-length hair!!
Look at all the hair on the floor! This used to be hanging from her head and draped on her shoulders!Talk about an effective weight-loss program!
We're getting close, now. Most of the trimming has been completed, as has some razing. Now it's just a matter of scrunching and drying the hair, as well as adding some styling products.
The first "official" photograph of the new do. I'm so glad that she's smiling! That's always a good sign!!! Ain't she cute?!?!?!?
Here are a couple more close-up shots, taken at home. Hanna's hair is completely dry by this point in time, so the full-curl is in effect. Look at those gorgeous natural locks! I know women who'd die for curls like that in a perm!
One last black-and-white picture of the beautiful new hair-do, a little off-kilter, though that's more a reflection of the photographer than the subject.
Please feel free to drop Hanna an email and let her know how CUTE her new hair-do is!!
